A Note from Jill
We are thankful for our amazing scholars and their families, and the opportunity to work alongside them to help them realize their ambitions. Our work is incredibly challenging. No doubt though, that it is some of the most important work in the world. We are helping students to see a different way of doing school by building community in a very intentional way through democratic classroom structures that allow scholars to learn how to harness their inherent agency in order to design and build the life and community they want.
We are working to upend an inequitable social structure and redefine a broken educational system that fails far too many of America's children, which is the work of a lifetime. I am filled with gratitude for our team. We truly believe that we are on the cusp of something amazing and on the path to becoming a model middle school community based in innovation and excellence.
