Pinnacles Newsletter: April 2021
A Note from Jill
Happy April everyone! This is such an exciting and busy time for Pinnacles as we work to communicate with new families about our school. As of March 31st, we are fully enrolled for grade six with a waitlist and still have a few seats available for grade seven! If you know someone who is interested in a seat with us for seventh grade, please get in touch with Israel, our family and community engagement coordinator at israel@pinnaclesprep.org. We have some incredible events coming up in April that we hope you join!
Onward!

Upcoming April Events
Link Transit Survey: Deadline April 2nd
Link transit will be one of the many ways we are transporting our scholars to school. Please take a few minutes to fill out the survey and provide your input to help design a better transit system for Chelan and Douglas Counties. Visit www.movinglinkforward.com to learn more and complete the survey!
Family Information Sessions
Pinnacles will hold three info sessions in April. Each session, Jill will give the same short 10-minute presentation about the school, and then will provide space for families to ask questions. Via Zoom Link here
April 14th: 12:00-1:00pm
April 20th: 4:30-5:30pm
April 29th: 6:30-7:30pm
Pizza and Pedestrian Pathways Project!
(Whoa, that’s a lot of P’s!) April 22nd OR April 28th
We are thrilled to be working with local artist Terry Valdez to spruce up our campus. Join us on either April 22nd or April 28th as we kick off a Pedestrian Pathways Muraling Project from 5:00 to 6:30 pm at the school campus. (Pizza included!) We are looking for a core group of scholars interested in researching and designing Pathways that will be painted on our campus to help direct pedestrian traffic. In addition to the mural project, Rick Wray, Board President, will work with scholars to create a documentary short on the process of the projects. Sign up here to let us know which date you can attend!
Parent Purpose Workshop
April 24th, 10:00 am-12:00 pm
We encourage ALL parents and ANY community members to attend this FREE purpose workshop. It is a great opportunity to experience a micro-version of the purpose-development curriculum that we will use to help students cultivate their purpose and passions. Spanish/English interpretation will be offered.
Volunteer Opportunities
As you all know, Pinnacles Prep will be opening our doors this Fall! Along the way, we will need help with a variety of activities and jobs such as painting our new classrooms, assembling tables and desks for our students, cleaning up the landscaping around campus, and plenty more!
We welcome volunteers who are excited about our mission and want to contribute their time and skills. As well, once we open there will be many opportunities to get involved in our school community. Just fill out our Volunteer Interest Form to get started.
Spring Fundraising Campaign
In April, we will kick-off our Spring fundraising campaign to support our vision of transforming the current social hall space into our Great Hall.
Be on the lookout for that campaign and other ways that you can give to Pinnacles Prep by going to www.pinnaclesprep.org/donate
